Fostering a safer campus, one day at a time.
We are FAST UBC, a student-led first aid team serving alongside campus security at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver Campus. We believe that the health and safety of students on campus is the utmost priority.
Our First Responders
All our first responders hold a minimum Standard First Aid Certification or CPR-C. Our team include responders from SFA to paramedic professionals. We are comitted to providing skilled, experienced care to support student health and safety on campus.
Bridge first-aid accessibility gaps through peer support. We are by students, for students, with friendly, approachable faces.
Provide the highest standard of care to students through classically trained, highly experienced first responders as a part of our team.
Offer first-aid certified students a space to apply their skills in a practical setting and gain hands-on experience within healthcare.
The AED and naloxone location map is sourced from the UBC Vancouver Campus Security website. For additional details, please visit the UBC Campus Security page: https://security.ubc.ca/safety-prevention-resources/automated-external-defibrillators/
UBC First Aid Support Team (FAST) operates on the traditional, ancestral, and stolen land of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ speaking xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Peoples. As a student-led organization providing first aid support and training within the UBC community, FAST understands that our work takes place within broader historical and ongoing contexts shaped by colonialism and systemic inequities.
